  • The Certified Scrum Master course aims to provide a fast-track path to understanding the foundations of Agile and Scrum.

    It prepares participants to be part of or to interact with Scrum teams. During the day we look at the fundamental concepts behind Agile and Scrum and tackle some of the jargon.

    Topics include:

    • The Agile Manifesto that underpins the Agile movement

    • The Principles and Values behind the Agile Manifesto

    • The Scrum Framework

    • Scrum Accountabilities, Events and Artefacts

    • How Scrum works in different domains

    • Separating the myths from the facts

    • Real world examples from an instructor with more than 15 years of experience

  • The course is tailored for those new to the principles and practices of Agile and Scrum. If you’re looking to get familiar with the framework, terminology, and core concepts, this is the perfect place to start.

  • No, there aren’t! However, we do recommend some pre-reading for a smoother learning experience

  • You will also receive:

    • An interactive 2 day immersive online learning experience facilitated by a highly respected trainer

    • Access to all course materials to download

    • Participants will also be eligible for 16 Scrum Education Units® (SEU’s)

    • The Certified Scrum Master Digital Badge (to share on your social networks, allowing you to show your achievement in this course)

    • Self-Paced Assessment Tool, to help you assess your foundational Scrum knowledge and review key Scrum concepts

    • 12 months’ membership to the Scrum Alliance worth $100

    • For a reminder of the respective training date and start / finish times – please refer back to your Course Registration email.

    • Please join the online course 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This will allow you the time to get yourself settled so that the course can begin promptly.

    • We will take plenty of breaks throughout the training, however it is also important that you look after yourself and let the group know if you need to take a break.

  • Prior to attending the course, please familiarise yourself with key Scrum terms and definitions (as described in the Scrum Guide and Scrum Foundations video), as well as the principles and values of Agile – all of which can be found via the following links.

  • Yes! By completing the course (and the online exam) you’ll earn a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master Badge, signifying your foundational knowledge in Scrum. Please note that there is an exam for this course and full attendance is also required.

  • As this is an online training course, refreshments and food are not included, so please plan accordingly.

  • The training is highly interactive and will involve lots of participation. You are invited to dress comfortably (jeans, trainers and even shorts & sandals will be perfectly fine!).
